WiseOwl is designed to work on each school library catalog. If you have multiple children attending the same school, you can apply your preferences across your entire family.
Will my school respect the reading preferences I’ve indicated?
Educators have a simple interface that notifies them when you’ve indicated any reading preferences. If it alerts them that you have marked WiseOwl, they will check the books your child is attempting to check out against your preferences. We’ve made it simple for both parents and educators to participate inside WiseOwl.
What can I do to get my school to implement WiseOwl?

Is WiseOwl removing books from the school library?
WiseOwl isn’t advocating for the removal of books. This solution empowers parents with their right to have a say in their child’s reading lists. Through WiseOwl, they can now easily make decisions about the content their child consumes using our platform.
What’s the process of building a reading list for my child?
It’s as simple as a, b, c. First, search through the school catalog on WiseOwl. Then add each book into a reading list for your child. Finally, watch your child engage and flourish in their reading journey.
How can I find out if my school has WiseOwl?
If your school has WiseOwl, you should have received a notification to create an account. If you have not received that and want to implement WiseOwl into your school library, fill out this form.
Are all parents required to use WiseOwl?
Parents have no obligation to use WiseOwl. Each parent can choose how active of a role they’d like to have in their child’s reading journey.
